#NetNarr: Maps as Stories/Stories as Maps

Thanks to my friend, Daniel, for sharing this intriguing map-building/story-telling site with us on Twitter called Story Maps a few weeks ago. As we continue to dive into  Networked Narratives (NetNarr), I wonder if this kind of mapping site might be a useful resource for building maps and worlds, with stories. I like the site seems to be open-source, with plenty of links for tutorials on how to build and share story maps.  The map that Daniel shared — Bruised […]

Crunch, Crunch, Crunch Time…

Is their power in parody? A latent ability that, once tap-tap-tapped, can transform thinking? That, through entertaining, can spur one to entertain thoughts they usually bar entry to? Is the silliness really all that silly? Unfortunately, neither Dycpgc-egpj-uyllyzc nor this so-called Qfybmu-egpj-uyllyzc were able to find the time to giving such muse-muse-musings adequate consideration. Too many end of the season–end of one chapter–projects and other odds n’ so many ends to juggle. Thinking serious ’bout silliness just fell through weary […]

She is like me, I am like her

This week I got my inspiration from Quanesha, Quanesha’s father, and Quanesha’s Pastor. I have only been friends with Quanesha (QuaneshaSB) for a little while, but I feel like we have so much in common. The most obvious is our faith. I love the fact I can talk to her, and she understands where I am coming from. And just like Quanesha took the time out to read some of my work, I have been taking the time out to […]

Activism

Hello my alchemist friends. Last week we talked about the thing the Earthlings call “activism.” I think this “activism” is where the Earthlings take a stand on something that they feel is worth speaking out about. If this is the case, I experienced activism this past week on my trip to the American city, “Washington, D.C.” From what I understand, the people were observing a holiday called “Earth Day,” on which they celebrate their planet. This seems to me an […]

Week 14: Transformation & Return

Change. Transmutation. Variation. Action. Modulation. Differentiation. Metamorphosis. Transmogrification. Permutation.

These powers are yours to deploy. Bring them back from #arganee return, but be resident in both worlds.

A Song Sung Alongside Another

A parody, I would think, cannot exist without humor- whether it be through intent or execution of such comedy. Without humor, parody is reduced to mocking. It’s a relatively thin line, however, as audience interpretations and delivery may be factors in creating “effective” parodies.  So then, what makes parodies effective?  Or better yet, what purpose do they serve, if any, other than to entertain? I suppose that may depend on a parody’s objective but not necessarily.  For example, a parody […]

Memememememememememememmememememememememmemememes

Memememememememememememmememememememememmemememe Memes.  Interesting form of communication I have discovered in this realm. Facebook, too.  So many posts.  “Funny” requests.  Why?  I want to tell ppl to stop, stop, stop. So, I made some memes to speak their language.  Not sure if message will be received correctly.  I think they may be….how do you say…..crass? It’s a good thing I do not know many ppl in this world.  I shall choose to reside in the mirror land.    (For more reading […]

Terry Elliott’s Newsletter Sun, Apr 23 I love the smell of collapse in the morning. Not a bad attitude, just clear aptitude. I see the wave rising, curling, and………….BTW, why do they call these things bubbles? Is it because the economic system has little going for it structurally except the surface tension of belief? Yup. ‘The Retail Bubble Has Now Burst’: A Record 8,640 Stores Are Closing In 2017 Zero Hedge – Apr 22, 4:50 PM “Thousands of new doors […]
