So long Shadow Girl (wannabe ^.^)….

Dycpgc-Egpj-uyllyzc, The Other Side, like your snuggly-snug shadows, methinks, is not as empty as it appears, aye? In fact, the seemingly hollow, swallowing spaces are teem- teeming with tales, tepid at first but ready to squeal, wail–scream like a tea kettle if given the time. Watched pots–kettles–aren’t really a problem here….where I’m from…eyes are pretty decoration at best, remember? Stories reside–resound off bone–in the Other Side. If you let them. Give them the chance to speak to you, through you. They can be as cozy as those […]

Log # 12: Alchemy in Paint

Even though I am a digital alchemist, I also work with other kinds of alchemy. Here are some of my own paintings: This acrylic piece depicts a snowy mountainside in the middle of February. This acrylic piece depicts a snowy forest in the middle of December. This oil pastel depicts a field with a forest in the background. This is an impression of Alexander Calder’s painting of Balloons at the Circus.

Crunch, Crunch, Crunch Time…

Is their power in parody? A latent ability that, once tap-tap-tapped, can transform thinking? That, through entertaining, can spur one to entertain thoughts they usually bar entry to? Is the silliness really all that silly? Unfortunately, neither Dycpgc-egpj-uyllyzc nor this so-called Qfybmu-egpj-uyllyzc were able to find the time to giving such muse-muse-musings adequate consideration. Too many end of the season–end of one chapter–projects and other odds n’ so many ends to juggle. Thinking serious ’bout silliness just fell through weary […]

Memememememememememememmememememememememmemememes

Memememememememememememmememememememememmemememe Memes.  Interesting form of communication I have discovered in this realm. Facebook, too.  So many posts.  “Funny” requests.  Why?  I want to tell ppl to stop, stop, stop. So, I made some memes to speak their language.  Not sure if message will be received correctly.  I think they may be….how do you say…..crass? It’s a good thing I do not know many ppl in this world.  I shall choose to reside in the mirror land.    (For more reading […]

Log #11: A Pinch of Homesickness and a New Friend

This week in NetNarr I befriended an imaginative alchemist named Aris Anastos (@Aris_Anastos). He seemed to be from the dying world of #arganee.  He wrote a flavorful story for me called “A Pinch of Homesickness”:  A Pinch of Homesickness Main Ingredients: teacher archaeologist champagne coriander tattoo Spice Pack: 1/8 whisper of disapproval 1/4 pinch of homesickness One day a 17 year old boy was walking down the street, dreaming of becoming an archaeologist.  He was just about to be home when […]

Too Many Cooks?

Oh goodness gracious me where does the time go? And me, where did I go? Tis been a fortnight since my last entry. I gotta stop writing blog posts in Shakespeare class. Again, I’m late with this entry. Good God. Also that title. Ha. Ha. How long ago was I talking about layers of fiction? Layers are fun to talk about. Layers of meaning. Layers of emotion. Layers of musical composition. Cake layers. I’m hungry. Food. Jam. Ah, here’s the jam of […]

Extended CWA: Avicia’s Story

My friends, I loved the Cooking With Anger prompt so much, that I decided to tell you more of my own story here! I can be wordy, and I had to cut it down a great deal to fit the requirements of that exercise.  I am glad to tell you more of my backstory. Please click on the linked words, they will enhance your experience of my story. I looked out the window as my coach surged forward through the […]

Faerie Pointers (Ha) & Friends for Dinner (Haha)~

Fair warning to all who dare delve deeper into the Other Side: Should you make a so-called “bot” using a pre-made fabrication of sorts, check the rows and columns for straggling letters and wandering no-words, whispers of forgotten things meandering in hollow spaces. *cough* adf should not be in the *cough* Project Key *cough* nothing will work *cough* Ahem, hope my fair foresight doesn’t scare those with softer sensibilities nor those with feebler hearts from any alchemical exploration or experimentation. […]

You Kant Make Me Argue Ethics…

Do you have to make it entirely clear when an account is a bot? Is it misleading, or, more, deceptive to keep that information not secret, per say, but not readily available either? Like, what are the moral obligations of bot-creators? Are there any? Is there a kind of digital, moral imperative? Or, more simply, rules of conduct in online spaces that are true all of the time? (Or else how can they be moral imperatives?) These concerns and questions arose not while I […]

Shadow Girl Reflects VII: Or Does She?

This week, shadow has been severed–cleaved in two. Something and Other. Which is which? From near to far reaches it seems one has become many, has, at least, realized there is more than meets the eye. Another side. Someplace beyond but surround as well. Contact has been made–by the Other’s denizens. Letters in invisible ink, thrums from an invisible (?) world, and nonsense ramblings have appeared from the miasma. Are they greetings? Warnings? Will time reveal which or run out first? In order to discover some answers of […]

april showers bring netnarr personas

Hi all! I think like a lot of my fellow alchemists, I’m feeling the struggle in the lull that was last week. I did, however, want to mention my excitement for the upcoming month, and I’m really interested in where our journey will go as we create our alchemical identities and enter the “mirror world”… I wanted to put some thought into the online alter ego that we are building. I tried the Alchemy Name Generator, and even the Rot-ify […]
