It’s already May, where the semester ends and students like myself start reflecting back to what was learned and taught. I still remember the feeling of “what did I get myself into?” when walking into class. It was cool that my Professor lives in another state but the work that was announced was gave me the “hibby jibbys”. But while the weeks continued and I was trying hard to understand the work presented, I started to enjoy it. You can […]

So my E-lit experience was a bit peculiar. I clicked on the four links that my Professor sent the students in our choosing. Just one link has over 20 options in choosing which reading one would like tot read. I chose a couple. My first reading is called “Golpe de Garcia.” It was in Spanish which is my first language so it related to me in that aspect. It was about a company’s boss being in the hospital on his death […]

I am pleased to announce my induction to Epsilon Epsilon Omega Honor Society, woohoo! Only negative aspect of it, was that I missed Netnarr’s class last week. I must say, it probably was the worst time to have missed class since the class went over and made their own bots. This technological class has been a bit tough, but if you miss the class, especially having the TA’s there to help, it can be like running in a maze, no […]

For this week, the class of Netnarr seemed more complete then last class. The in class assignment was very tricky especially for the undergrad. In my experience, I was completely lost in what to do and how to do it. I am very grateful towards the grad students for stepping out of their way like always and helping us out.  We started the class of by watching video in redlining which is refusing loan or  insurance to someone in a […]

I want to start this blog off by saying that last class in netnarr was so exciting and fun! Although only half of the class was present, that did not stop us from learning and playing games. We started the class by viewing a video where it teaches the watcher about three types of games which are, plan, practice, or improvised. We discussed about the differences between the three and also gave out examples for each one. Also, we got […]

In my Netnarr class, Professor Levine instructed the class to go to this website where it is filled with old video games. It was a bit troubling for me to find a video game that actually allowed me to play. After 5 tries, Paperboy 2 was the only working one and I am so glad it was. This game reminds me of the phone games we have in the palm of our hands today. It’s simple, your goal is to […]

I would love to begin this blog with a WOOHOO I DID IT! I made my first audio track and I just felt like those producers that are out there making music. First off, I was extremely nervous leaving class last week due to the new assignment that was given to the class in our Netnarr class. We had a class of selfies, gifs, memes, and last week we had a class on audio making! Professor Levine introduced us to […]

Gaming was so important to me while growing up. One of the earliest memories of mine is having the first PlayStation console and I was so addicted to it. My memory is vague in which games I used to play. But, it is similar to the old games that we used to have in the computers. The one where you have a gun in the bottom and you have to protect objects from other villains. It was very addicting to […]

Once again, I missed class but this week was due to sickness. Last class I missed it because of my Citizenship exam which I thankfully to God passed! The flu was very powerful this year in so many states, I guess I was one of the unfortunate ones in New Jersey. But, I guess the good news was that class didn’t last long because there were more people out and there was also technical difficulties. I’m wondering if Gif wanted […]

What an interesting class I have. In Netnarr we spoke about selfie and learned the history of it. Yes, the name selfie was just introduced to the public a couple of years ago, but the actual picture where you see the face of a person and the background behind them have existed centuries ago. In the Selfie History video, it shows how even people who did not have color in picture yet, still took selfies with their big cameras. I […]

What an interesting time it was for the Netnarr class last time we met. We spoke and learned how to make our own memes with a meme generator website. But before we got into that,  Professor Levine asked the students to watch an episode of Black Mirror titled Nosedive which is a Netflix series. Each episode is completely different with different cast and events. I was not able to watch it before Tuesday Class but thankfully almost everyone in the […]

It has been my second week in my Digital Alchemy and Network or NetNarr for the members of the class. It has been an exciting week due to different activities we did in class and the regular activities we do after. For me, it started on Sunday night when I watched Brett Gaylor’s Do Not Track Documentary which is a series of episodes where Brett takes the chance the educate his viewers in tracking on websites we visit and how […]

I was able to start my first week of class with ENG 4060 section 2, class called Digital Alchemy and Network. It was not a typical class since my Professor is on the screen, watching and lecturing us from his home in Arizona. I was a bit taken back not only because of that factor but because of all the blogs and different kind of work I will have to do in class. But, thankfully, the Professor is very kind […]
