Today’s TDC says Celebrate the season wherever you live (Autumn in the northern Hemisphere, Spring in the southern) by getting out in the streets today and photographing the beauty that is the moment. If you’re housebound, turn your camera to the window. Compose your shot. Make it beautiful. It’s very changeable weather here today – one minute bule sky, the next drizzly rain. Here’s my favourite orner of our garden, with Fair Flora (needing repainting!) in front of our ‘orchard […]
Today’s TDC says 4th October is World Animal Day. Make some art to celebrate your favourite animal I decided to celebrate the puffin, so I headed over to Flickr and searched my images there. Here’s a picture I took in 2018 when we took a boat from Mull to Lunga. Autumn Morning flickr photo by NomadWarMachine shared under a Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license Today’s TDC says: Use this random word generator and write a haiku (5, 7, 5 syllables) about the first word you generate! The word I got was drift: A crisp autumn day Clouds drift across the skyline Trees dance in the breeze I took a photo through my study window, it’s at the top of this post
Today’s TDC says The Last Museum says it is “the largest search engine for museum art. It uses semantic search, allowing you to search for artworks by theme, style, subject, vibes, or any description you can imagine”. Visit the Last Museum and have a look around – pretty amazing, huh? Share something that you found with us, or make some art based on what you find and share that. I spent ages looking around, first at Scottish culture and then […]

Today’s TDC says: Make a dramatic photo at sunrise or sunset. I was in the car driving down the A9 at 10am today, so I grabbed this one from Flickr and tooted it. Today’s TDC says Invariably I take unintended photos when grabbing my phone or those weird compositions featuring a blurred thumb selfie. Can you make/shae art from an accidental or unntended photo? I usually delete any blurry pics I take, but here’s a long exposure one I took at the weekend by mistake. It was very windy! Windy Findhorn flickr photo by NomadWarMachine shared under a Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license I headed over to Lunapic to artify it Artified […]
Today’s TDC says: “Lasts: The last trip to the pool. Or the lake. The last hike. The last popsicle. Capture your warm weather favorites before it really cools down!” Lisa Truesdell This week we’re up in Findhorn on what will be our last seaside holiday of the year. On Saturday I took this photo as we walked along the sea front. Sunset at Findhorn flickr photo by NomadWarMachine shared under a Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license
Today’s TDC says Time to write a 5 card Flickr story If you have done one before, you know it is fun. If not, you are in for a treat. Need examples? We haz examples. I couldn’t make it work, though, I kept getting errors like this: Fatal error: Uncaught mysqli_sql_exception: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near ‘
Warning: Undefined array key’ […]
