Futurephobia

Futurephobia by Anna Bella (fiction) I don’t feel safe anymore. I’ve been violated and disgraced in the deepest parts of my soul. Maybe I should just stay locked up inside my house. After all, it’s the safest place to be now. In a moment your whole life can just be altered to the worst. No one ever wants to think that they would be raped but now I have been. My future is a dark place with hunter traps and sinkholes. […]

This Week’s Studio Visit

Of course, when you watch these Youtube chats, there are so many ideas flowing around and I just can’t keep up with them. I did manage to jot down a few comments on paper. @netnarr #netnarr @hrheingold -"Make sense of chaos" It's better than being tested on it. This is a necessary skill." — Anna Bella (@writeannabella) February 21, 2017 Overall, it was a great discussion and Alex definitely brought up good questions regarding the structure of our course, etc. […]

On Listening

What did you learn about audio space from the simple listening exercise? I didn’t really learn anything out of the ordinary from the exercise because I am frequently quiet. It just made me want to be silent more often. Try to find a short scene from a favorite movie in YouTube. Just listen to the sounds without looking at the screen. What do you hear that helps create the sense of the environment? I chose my favorite scene from the […]

Weekly Class Reflection

I feel like that old man walking in the rain. All the young folks have gotten way ahead of me. This isn’t literally true but I feel like I’m one of the last ones to do my blogs. This week I thought I’d get ahead and while things are fresh in my head I would get this out the way. Rather than worry about blogging about what happened last class all the way next Wednesday, I’ll do it now. Last […]

Weekly Reflection

When I hear about stories having shape, I’m not sure what comes to mind. I actually associate this with topic. I think about the question of how stories are supposed to be formatted. We want to know if we should have a beginning, middle and end to have the best kind of story. I’m completely having fun doing the DDA’s as time continues to go on. I recently saw that we will have to create bots soon and know if […]

In the Presence of the Interwebs

During the Google Hangouts, there were definitely a lot of things discussed that I really would love to get my hands more into so to speak. Just hearing about all the possibilities in digital literacy specifically netprov makes me extra excited. I completely hate that I can’t edit on Twitter. But this link is to how netprov was defined so to speak. General description of network by @Netprov_RobWit https://t.co/IW7nnGfLyx#netnarr @netnarr — Anna Bella (@writeannabella) February 7, 2017 My experience in […]

How are these bots so smart?

I sent two questions to the KairosHotBots and it didn’t take long to respond. @writeannabella @DiGRAThemes and @10PRINT_ebooks are both engaging — Hot Bots Interview (@KairosHotBots) February 8, 2017 Is it a he or she I wonder? @writeannabella @everyadage, @everyletterbot, @tofu_product and @metaphorminute. I kid you not — Hot Bots Interview (@KairosHotBots) February 8, 2017 But anyway this is totally awesome and I can’t wait to see how more schools and teachers pick up on these tools that are opening […]

I’ve lived a thousand lies

I’ve lived a thousand lies By Anna Bella #dda36 prompt-An astronaut sneezes. In that time, he lives another life as a bookshop owner. Subject 345569 What’s a fib? What’s a truth? I don’t know anything. Who knows anything? Socrates said it himself, “I know nothing.” One time I visited a nearby galaxy and I saw an astronaut sneeze. He sneezed so hard that he floated away into the thick darkness never to be seen again. Suddenly, I saw him at […]

Show not Tell-Weekly Reaction Blog

I had an amazing time this week. I had fun using flickr images to tell unique stories. The twitterbots are really cool and innovative. I thought this week would be a great time to encourage readers to see what I did, search for them on my twitter feed. Sometimes it’s better to show not tell. Make sure to watch the webinar that I was involved in this week. I definitely had a lot of fun and in the future would […]

Anna’s Weekly Reaction Blog

Ah, this week was a blast. I had lots of fun. The DDA’s were absolutely addictive. I had this drive to want to do every single one of them but I couldn’t do all because of time and certain things not available to me.  I submitted both of my required original DDA’s this week too. I couldn’t help thinking doing DDA’s and submitting them- Will people like this? Do I sound weird? Is this right? I don’t want to […]

Anna’s 4 Elements Blog

The journey to finding my 4 elements was actually pretty simple. I found every thing in my backyard. The only thing that is missing is my representation of air. I took a picture of the sky for that and then accidentally deleted it. It was too cold to go back out there again. It wasn’t what I would have preferred to share anyway. I would have wanted to share the image of breath coming out of a human during cold […]

Digital Alchemy to Me

Digital Alchemy to Me By Anna Bella I think it is truly amazing how the universe makes things happen in unison. Nothing is really a coincidence at all but instead just meant to be. I’ve recently started to have a more open mind than I have ever had before. I have started to explore and really dig deep (not too deep) into a variety of areas in the same category as alchemy that people don’t normally venture. People should remember […]
