Haunting at the Willington Mill
Today’s TDC says The Strange Company blog describes a series of reports of ghost action in the early 1800s at an old mill. Talking ghosts? Eerie. Lacking any recently reports create some art – generated imagery, drawing or write a story that describes what modern haunting is happening there (real ghosts don’t just post other images found in google). I downloaded the image, drew a ghost and added it to make this gif:

A random word poem
Autumn Morning flickr photo by NomadWarMachine shared under a Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license Today’s TDC says: Use this random word generator and write a haiku (5, 7, 5 syllables) about the first word you generate! The word I got was drift: A crisp autumn day Clouds drift across the skyline Trees dance in the breeze I took a photo through my study window, it’s at the top of this post

The Last Museum
Today’s TDC says The Last Museum says it is “the largest search engine for museum art. It uses semantic search, allowing you to search for artworks by theme, style, subject, vibes, or any description you can imagine”. Visit the Last Museum and have a look around – pretty amazing, huh? Share something that you found with us, or make some art based on what you find and share that. I spent ages looking around, first at Scottish culture and then […]

A Track for Olive to Play Rhythm
Today’s TDC says Here’s an image of actress Olive Thomas likely pretending to be a jazz drummer. Share an unlikely song you can imagine her laying down the drum beats too. Olive Thomas (LOC) flickr photo by The Library of Congress shared with no copyright restriction (Flickr Commons) I think this track by AC/DC would be a good one for her to try, actually.

Accidental Photo Art
Today’s TDC says Invariably I take unintended photos when grabbing my phone or those weird compositions featuring a blurred thumb selfie. Can you make/shae art from an accidental or unntended photo? I usually delete any blurry pics I take, but here’s a long exposure one I took at the weekend by mistake. It was very windy! Windy Findhorn flickr photo by NomadWarMachine shared under a Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license I headed over to Lunapic to artify it Artified […]

Motivation Out of Nothing!
Today’s TDC says: You may have seen the Tiktok trend where people turn everyday quotes into a motivational quote flyer. Now it’s your turn! Take a random quote from your day and create a motivational poster! I’m on holiday today, so ignoring all of the emails and Teams messages, so I took a pic of Cagney, pretending to sleep on my bed, and turned that into a poster Sleeping Cagney flickr photo by NomadWarMachine shared under a Creative Commons (CC […]
